Just got back from the North American Handmade Bicycle Show where my
friends Kent and Katie at Kent Eriksen Cycles ask me to build some
display items for them so I went to work and used all my toys
including the cnc router and laser engraver to create all of the
wood items in their booth. This is the first time that my work has
been plastered all over the internet (by someone other than myself
putting it out there anyway) so forgive me if I'm a bit excited
about it..... but I can't help it. The show brings together some of
the best custom bike builders from all over and I have to say the
craftsmanship they all displayed was amazing.... even if a bike
wasn't my style I could still appreciate the workmanship that went
into creating it and there were no bad bikes. I was honored to be a
part of it and allowed to show some of my work along with the
amazing bikes that they build at
Kent Eriksen Cycles.
Steamboat was well represented as Eriksen took the honor for Best Ti
Construction and Moots took the honor for Best Theme Bike and
Peoples Choice with their custom trail building bike. Considering
we are just a town of 10,000 or so it is great to have two custom
builders in town.
Here are some of the internet articles I've found so far.
My favorite from
Bike Radar:

the Kent
Eriksen booth but what about this wooden stand? Amazing"

Nice to see our work as the lead photo.

Some pictures I snapped of the booth:
Inlay was an alder base with walnut eagle and letters. The red was jatoba.
I engraved the "Bingham Design" on the top link.
Thanks for looking and hope everyone is doing well. To see some
more of the bikes at the show visit NAHBS
because there truly are some amazing bikes out there.
